Account designed to provide budget minded customers the opportunity to avoid a monthly maintenance fee by maintaining a low average collected balance. Ideal for those customers that write a limited number of checks each month.

  • No minimum balance to open.
  • $250.00 average collected balance to avoid maintenance fee.
  • Can write up to 25 checks per month at no charge.
  • $7.00 maintenance fee if average collected balance falls below $250.00.
  • $0.25 per debit for debits in excess of 25 per statement cycle.
  • Maintenance fee and excess debits fee will both be imposed if average collected balance falls below $250.00 and debits exceed 25 during a statement cycle.

Personal NOW Checking (The checking)

No minimum balance needed to open. By maintaining a low minimum balance of $500.00, you can avoid a monthly service charge and the per debit fee. Tiered interest rates are paid for balances in excess of $500.00 and $1000.00

  • No service charges if balance does not fall below $500.00.
  • Tiered interest rates for balances over $500.00 and $1000.00.
  • $5.00 maintenance fee and $.25 per debit if balance falls below $500.00.

Senior Privilege Checking

Account provided to customers age 50 and over. No minimum balance is required and Privilege Checking pays a tiered rate of interest on balances in excess of $500.00. and $1000.00. Free wallet style check specially designed for Darlington County Bank's Senior Privilege customers.

  • For those age 50 and over.
  • No minimum balance required.
  • No service charge regardless of balance.
  • Free wallet style bank stock checks.
  • Tiered interest rates for balances over $500.00 and $1000.00.

Student Checking

For those students that need an affordable checking account. There is no minimum balance requirement and unlimited check writing is provided. Allows students flexibility in their spending. 

  • No minimum balance requirement.
  • No service charge regardless of balance maintained.
  • Unlimited check writing.
  • Non-interest bearing.

Personal Savings Account

This account pays interest on all collected balances and there is no minimum amount needed to open. Low maintenance fee if the balance falls below minimum.

  • No minimum deposit to open account.
  • $2.00 Maintenance fee if balance falls below $200.00.
  • $2.00 per withdrawal after 3 withdrawals per month.
  • Free ATM card

Personal Money Market Account

Higher balances pay higher interest yields while affording the customer quick and easy access to their funds. Excess withdrawal fee for each transaction above the normal allocation of 6 ACH or electronic withdrawals and/or 3 checks to a third party.

  • $1000.00 minimum deposit to open account.
  • $10.00 Maintenance fee if balance falls below $1000.
  • $10.00 excess withdrawal fee for each transaction above the normal allocation of 6 ACH or electronic withdrawals and/or 3 checks to a third party.
  • No limits to lobby withdrawals.
  • Free selected style checks.

Minor Savings Account

Account designed to teach young people to save. It's never too early to save for that special item. Interest is paid on all collected balances and there is no minimums or fees associated with this account.

  • No minimum deposit to open account.
  • No minimum balance required.
  • $2.00 per withdrawal after 3 withdrawals per month.
